This document describes the task for the pre validation of your candidature.

Description of your task

You will be given accesses to two servers and to a domain that will be associated to one of the servers.

You have to:

1. Install a DNS server on one of the servers.

2. Configure in the DNS server of the domain, that the second machine is the mail server of the domain.

3. Install a mail server for that domain on the second machine.

Once the installation and the configuration are done:

1. The server must receive and send emails via SMTP to other domains.

2. The user must be able to connect via IMAP for inbound and via SMTP for outbound.

3. Both connections must be possible only via authentication.

4. Unauthenticated connection attempts must be rejected, both for IMAP and SMTP.

Validation

Installation and testing proofs must be emailed to jobs@switzernet.com.

Proofs must contain screenshots, description of your test, credentials of accounts to configure thunderbird and instructions on how to test from our side.
