Second outage on 2007-09-11 – problem with outgoing calls through SER servers in Geneva

About an hour after the problem with the Switzernet’s US POP is fixed another problem occurred related with outgoing calls through Switzernet’s Geneva POP. Voice media communication was not established for the affected calls.

 

The problem started at about 19:30. Affected calls were re-routed through alternative routes at about 20:00. The media streaming was re-established at about 21:00 (both redundant SER servers were rebooted as well). The calls were re-routed back at about 22:00 (with CLI transmission). The true reason of the problem is not known:
